Korean Bulgogi
Korean BBQ top sirloin beef marinated in pear sauce, with sesame seeds and green onions.
Very tender beef with sweet taste that almost melt in your mouth.
Do you want to try something different? I suggest this Korean style sautéed marinated beef bulgogi. I am a big lover of Korean cuisine, but this is definitely one of my favourite dishes. The meat is so soft and the sweet taste of the pear gives it a lighter texture, that is almost melts in your mouth. Serve it with a bowl of white rice and some kimchi.
Preparation Time: 4h 30 min
Cooking Time: 15 min
Servings: 2-3 servings
Ingredients
Main:
300gr top sirloin beef, thin slices
1/2 cup green onions, sliced
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp olive oil
Marinade:
6 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp white wine
1 pear
1/2 onion
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp ginger powder
1/2 tsp black powder
Preparation:
First, blend all the ingredients of the marinade in a mixer, until you get a smooth consistency. Put on the side.
Place the sliced beef in a bowl and pour the marinade over it. Then add the sesame oil and mix it gently with your hands.
Cover the bowl and let the meat marinate for about 4 hours in the fridge (you can also let it overnight).
Preheat a skillet on medium heat and add a bit of olive oil. Then add the meat and let it cook for about 3 minutes on each side.
Serve the bulgogi with white rice and kimchi or wrapped in lettuce leaves.
